แผ่นดินไหวที่จีน - บ้านพังนับพันหลัง

ทางการจีน เปิดเผยว่า จากเหตุแผ่นดินไหวรุนแรง 5.4 ริกเตอร์ ความลึก 10 กม. ในเมืองหยิงเจียง มณฑลยูนนาน ล่าสุดยอดผู้เสียชีวิตเพิ่มขึ้นเป็น 28 คน บาดเจ็บ 250 คน ขณะที่บ้านเรือนเสียหาย 1,200 หลัง เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ ทหาร และหน่วยกู้ภัย กำลังเร่งช่วยเหลือประชาชนที่ติดอยู่ใต้ซากอาคาร นอกจากนั้นยังมีการอพยพประชาชน กว่า 127,000 คน ไปพักอาศัยตามเต็นท์ที่พักชั่วคราว ล่าสุด ทางการจีนเร่งส่งความช่วยเหลือทั้งอาหาร น้ำ และสิ่งบรรเทาทุกข์ต่างๆ เข้าไปในพื้นที่ประสบภัยจากเหตุแผ่นดินไหวแล้ว

ส่วนกรมอุตุนิยมวิทยาของพม่า ออกแถลงการณ์ว่า เกิดเหตุแผ่นดินไหวห่างไปทางตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของเมืองมัณฑะเลย์ ราว 370 กิโลเมตร แต่ไม่มีรายงานความเสียหาย หรือผู้บาดเจ็บ
ล่าสุดเมื่อช่วงเวลา 24.00 น.ที่ผ่านมา มีรายงานเกิดแผ่นดินไหวรุนแรง 6.2 ริกเตอร์ นอกชายฝั่งเกาะบาหลี ห่างจากเมืองเดปาซาร์ ราว 261 กิโลเมตร ลึกลงไปใต้พื้นดิน ราว 504 กิโลเมตร ไม่มีรายงานการเกิดสึนามิ หรือความเสียหายใดๆ

Many houses collapsed in the quake, and the tremor also triggered a power outage but the telecommunication service remained normal in the county. Several minutes after the initial earthquake, CENC said two aftershocks with magnitudes of 4.5 and 4.7 rattled the area. It was not immediately clear if there was any damage or casualties.

Rescue workers

According to Xinhua, three aftershocks, measuring up to 4.7 degrees on the Richter scale, jolted the county within 10 minutes. Provincial officials sent a team of experts to assist in emergency relief and more than 400 soldiers have joined the rescue operation. The National Committee of Disaster Reduction, Ministry of Civil Affairs and Yunnan’s provincial government have dispatched 9,700 tents, 15,000 quilts, 15,000 clothes and other materials to the quake-hit region.
